She smiled down at the youngling again. "You're very welcome, my child." She murmered. "Oh, and take this, you may want it" She reached into a pouch that was secured to her waist, and pulled out a ruby pendant. "You may want this, just for a little keepsake. It's just an old piece I have no use for." She shrugged her massive shoulders.
Then she pulled out another necklace, this time a tigerstone one, for she had noticed something the other two hadn't. "This is for the new baby" She said, handing it to Jaqueal, who took it confusedly. Then the nest mother gasped, and spun around to witness the hatching of a blue dragon egg. Opal flapped her wings, diving into the nest and blowing fire all over the egg. Jaqueal shouted out in alarm before she took off, soaring in the sky. The little blue dragon would be able to breathe fire much sooner than most, and would always have a love for the searing element.

Sarii pushed against the outside of his agg. He broke through almost immediately.... But only his leg. Darn it, he thought. He stuch another out and bit the edges. Then he blew a little fire over it - all he could manage, of course - but it did the trick. He was through. He bblinked. It was so bright out here!

She screeched as the fire engulfed the hatching egg, terrified for the babys life. However, she was amazed when the baby pushed through, alive and...breathing fire?! That was a new trick. Nevertheless, she shoved all this aside and got to work.
"Hello, little one" She cooed, leaning down to lick all the fluid off of his lovely electric-blue scales. "I am Jaqueal, and this" she gestured to the diamond, "is Jiaga, your hatch-sister. What might your name be?" She smiled gently and waited for her answer.

"Sarii," he said, smiling. It was bright out there. He sneezed, and a little fire escaped his mouth.

((Please work to make your posts a little longer ) "Sarii. That's a beautiful name" she crooned, leaning down to nuzzle him. She jumped back as he sneezed, though, and a little flame came out! She had almost singed her nostrils! Maybe Opals "gift" wasn't all it was cracked up to be. "Oh, Sarii, you must be careful with your flame..." She tutted, looking at him worriedly. He wasn't in any trouble, of course.

I can't control it much," he said angrily, as he sneeded again, and more flame came out. But this time he even fell over it was so strong! "This isn't all its cracked up to be," he mumbled, getting up again.

She smiled down at him. "You will learn, you just have to focus...And it looks like you've got some snuffles!" She laughed as he sneezed again. "Oh, i'm sorry, Sarii..." She chuckled, still brimming with mirth. "If you think you can keep it without setting it alight, I have a present from Opal herself! And I think you and Jiaga will get along fine." She winked, gesturing toward the little diamond.

Jiaga snorted and crossed her arms. Sarii looked at her in surprise as though he had only just noticed her.

Jaqueal chortled with delight at the babys antics. "Now now, dragonlings, play nice..." She nudged Jiaga toward Sarii. "He's your little brother...play nice please, Jiaga" She whispered to the little diamond. She then withdrew to see what they would do together.

Jiaga tilted her head. Sarii sneezed again, sending smke to Jiaga. She coughed, looking disgruntled.

The large egg started to wiggle around ever so slightly. Slowly small cracks started to appear all around the top surface of the egg. One small claw broke through the outer layer of the egg, as a golden brown leg was set free. Another hole was made in the egg shell as a second legg protruded through it, quickly followed by the third and finally the fourth. Shaking off the broken bits and peices of the egg, a new baby zen dragon stood in nest, freshly hatched, blinkingly rapidly trying to adjust his new eyes. His little head was looking in all directions, trying to take in as much of his surroundings as possible.
